Trabzonspor close in on Mohamed Salah as free-agent talks advance
Trabzonspor are pushing hard to land Mohamed Salah this summer, a move that would instantly elevate both the club and the Turkish Super Lig.

Official caution remains
Despite reports of advanced talks, Trabzonspor president Ertuğrul Doğan has publicly denied that any agreement is in place. He has said he would like to sign Salah but insisted that any genuine breakthrough would be announced officially by the club.
That distinction matters. Discussions with agents can advance while personal terms, bonuses and commercial arrangements (especially on a free transfer of this magnitude) remain unresolved. Beşiktaş could yet return if demands shift, and earlier interest from other clubs shows Salah still has options that could drive up his wage expectations.

A free-agent move of this scale still requires careful handling of the wage structure. If completed, however, Salah would become the face of Trabzonspor’s ambitious project and one of the most eye-catching arrivals in the Super Lig for years.
