Luis Enrique refuses to discuss Bradley Barcola amid Liverpool interest
Paris Saint-Germain manager Luis Enrique has declined to comment on Bradley Barcola’s future, describing any focus on individual players as “dangerous.”
The France international has been heavily linked with Liverpool this summer as a potential long-term option to succeed Mohamed Salah. Reports from L’Équipe have suggested the Reds could still table a significant bid, though the deal has stalled and the Evening Standard recently claimed Liverpool are prepared to walk away over the expected high valuation.
Speaking to reporters, Enrique was careful to avoid the subject entirely.
“I don’t know and I don’t want to speak about any player individually, because it’s always dangerous when you are asking something positive or negative about a player. I stay focused on my team,” he said.
On the possibility of PSG signing Ferran Torres, he added: “I’m not here to talk about the transfer market… only about the players who are currently at PSG.”
The non-committal response offers little concrete encouragement to Liverpool supporters, yet it also falls short of a firm rejection of a sale. Barcola, 23, has shown flashes of high quality since arriving from Lyon but has not been an automatic starter under Enrique. That limited role, combined with his age and profile, continues to make him an attractive target for clubs willing to meet PSG’s demands.
