Liverpool goalkeeper Alisson Becker has been fined £8,000 by the Football Association after kicking the fourth official’s electronic substitution board following the Reds’ controversial 2-2 draw with Nottingham Forest at Anfield.

Because he accepted the charge, Alisson will not face a suspension and remains fully available for Liverpool’s upcoming matches.

The flashpoint stemmed from a chaotic sequence midway through the second half. With the score locked at 1-1, Liverpool manager Andoni Iraola attempted to make a triple substitution. However, the fourth official experienced problems with the electronic substitution board, causing a delay in the changes being completed.
