
Former Liverpool forward Fabio Borini has officially announced his retirement from professional football.The Italian confirmed his decision on Wednesday evening, bringing an end to a career that saw him represent a number of clubs across England and Italy, as well as earn international recognition with the Italian national team.Borini shared an emotional message on social media as he reflected on his journey and looked ahead to the next chapter of his life.«“I want to thank that kid who never stopped believing. He made a further 18 appearances for the Reds and scored once under then-manager Brendan Rodgers.In 2015, Borini completed a permanent return to Sunderland, bringing his time at Liverpool to an end.A career across England and ItalyBorini began his senior career with Chelsea before moving on to Swansea City, Parma and Roma.After leaving Liverpool, he went on to play for several notable clubs, including AC Milan and Hellas Verona.
