Liverpool could be facing a major transfer battle next summer as former defender Jarell Quansah continues to attract serious interest from some of Europe’s biggest clubs.
According to German transfer insider Florian Plettenberg, Quansah could leave Bayer Leverkusen in the summer of 2027, with movement already taking place behind the scenes over a potential transfer.
And the list of interested clubs is growing rapidly.
🔴 Liverpool
🔵 Chelsea
🔴 Arsenal
⚪ Real Madrid
Plettenberg reports that Real Madrid are “regularly scouting” the England international, while Liverpool are believed to have a major advantage in any potential Premier League battle.
The Reds reportedly hold a €70 million buy-back clause for their former academy defender, meaning Liverpool could have the opportunity to bring Quansah back to Anfield if they decide to trigger it.
The 23-year-old has dramatically increased his reputation since moving to Germany, establishing himself at Bayer Leverkusen while also becoming an increasingly trusted member of Thomas Tuchel’s England squad.
His combination of strength, versatility, composure on the ball and defensive ability has made him one of England’s most exciting young defenders.
With regular England appearances and a strong season at Leverkusen, Quansah’s value could rise even further.
💰 A transfer worth €70m or more could therefore be on the cards.
Liverpool may have first refusal — but with Arsenal, Chelsea and Real Madrid watching closely, the Reds could face a serious battle to bring their former defender home.
