The Gunners didn’t do enough to win the Champions League tie and many fans will be left wondering what might have been.Mikel Arteta’s side needed to take the game to Bayern but they barely laid a glove on them.

That will have to change against Wolves on Saturday night with a win an absolute must if they are to stay in the title race.
Press the next page as we predict Arsenal’s starting eleven for the match at Molineux:Goalkeeper and DefenceGK – David Raya – did a decent job at the Allianz Arena, although there was that one scare with Gabriel’s back pass.
He will be hoping for a quiet evening at Molineux.RB – Ben White – couldn’t get forward as often as he would have liked to in Germany. He will have to provide a few more overlaps to create chances for the Gunners versus Wolves.CB – William Saliba – kept Harry Kane quiet, which is an achievement in itself, and he will be looking to do a similar job on Matheus Cunha, who scored a brace last time out against Nottingham Forest.CB – Gabriel – put in an improved performance in Munich, although he did nearly score an own goal with a poor back pass.
Like Saliba, he will need to be on his A-game to stop Wolves’ frontline from breaking through.LB – Takehiro Tomiyasu – the Japanese international didn’t provide much going orward against Bayern but he dealt well with Leroy Sane. That should be enough to keep his place in the lineup this weekend.
MidfieldCM – Declan Rice – the England international didn’t impress against Bayern nd, considering it was such a big game, that was really disappointing. He will be hoping to make amends at Molineux. CM – Kai Havertz – Arsenal need goals against Wolves so it would make sense to move the German international back into midfield for this one.He struggled to make an impact in Munich but it wasn’t all his own fault, as he didn’t get a lot of service. AM – Martin Odegaard – would have hoped to have created more chances against Bayern’s rather leaky defence but he did set up Gabriel Martinelli for one of Arsenal’s best opportunities. He will need to be at his best so Arsenal can secure three points on Saturday.
ForwardsRW – Bukayo Saka – there are question marks about the winger’s fitness after he barely got a look-in against Bayern on Wednesday evening.
The forward looked to be lacking sharpness and, if he isn’t 100%, you do have to wonder whether Arteta should consider giving him a rest. However, the Gunners boss usually picks him when he’s available.
CF – Gabriel Jesus – after his effective substitute appearance in the first leg, fans would have been disappointed that the Brazilian couldn’t produce the goods in Munich.
Even so, he may be recalled to the starting eleven against Wolves to add more firepower.LW – Leandro Trossard – Gabriel Martinelli really laboured against Bayern and it wouldn’t be a surprise if he was dropped in favour of the Belgian.
