Wayne Rooney has sent shockwaves through the Premier League with a brutal assessment of Liverpool’s attacking problems — and he didn’t hold back.

Speaking as a former striker, Rooney pointed the finger directly at ONE Liverpool player, accusing him of sabotaging Alexander Isak’s goal output with selfish play.
“He’s the reason Isak isn’t scoring goals,” Rooney said. “I can boldly tell you, no striker in the world will score goals consistently if he has a teammate like that starting every game. The movement is ignored, the passes don’t come — it kills a striker’s confidence.”
The Manchester United legend went even further, issuing a stark warning to Liverpool boss Arne Slot.
“If Arne Slot doesn’t step in and suspend that player, Alexander Isak won’t even reach five goals this season,” Rooney added. “It’s that serious.”
The comments have sparked fierce debate among Liverpool fans, with many now questioning whether individual selfishness is holding back one of the club’s most dangerous forwards.
