Trent Alexander-Arnold scored a magnificent winning goal for Liverpool against Leicester City. After scoring with an incredible volley, the right-back immediately took off his shirt and ran up to Liverpool fans to celebrate the goal.

Trent has been linked with Real Madrid for quite a long time – and Liverpool fans believe that this celebration actually meant… well, something. It’s hard to tell exactly what message Trent was sending with it, so fans are now building theories:
“50/50 celebration….might be staying, might be leaving lol”
“Took off his shirt so he wouldn’t be questioned about not kissing the badge”
“In Elizabethan times, sailors who wanted to leave their local port would hang their uniform on flag masts as a sign to potential ships that they wanted to sail to foreign climes. He’s gone.”
“Taking his shirt off ready to put on Real Madrid’s”
“The way he celebrated that – I thought he was staying”
“He is gonna stay. Call me dululu, but I don’t care. We love ya Trent”
However, some fans believe we are reading waaay too much into this celebration:
“wHaT DoEs it MEaN??? IT MEANS HE’S HAPPY WE’RE GOING TO WIN THE LEAGUE LET’S F*CKING GO”
