Liverpool are pushing to sign Newcastle United striker Alexander Isak in this summer’s transfer window.
According to Sky Germany’s Florian Plettenberg, Liverpool have already reached a verbal agreement on personal terms with Isak. Talks are now underway between the two clubs to finalise the transfer.
Whether Liverpool and Newcastle can settle on a transfer fee remains to be seen.
Could Isak join Liverpool?
The Reds are eager to bring in the Swedish international, who would be a major upgrade in their attack. With Darwin Nunez scoring just seven goals last season, Liverpool are seeking a more reliable goalscorer to compete for major honours like the Premier League and Champions League.
