With club football currently on a brief two-week hiatus, Liverpool fans have been busying themselves with the club’s upcoming summer transfer activities.

The Reds are expected to be busy this summer, with at least five players expected to be signed.
One player who will definitely join the club in the summer is Georgian goalkeeper Giorgi Mamardashvili. The 24-year-old was signed from Valencia last summer but was allowed to spend this season on loan at the La Liga club.
Several players could join him at Anfield this summer, including reported targets like Alexander Isak, Milos Kerkez, Jorrel Hato, Marc Guehi and Dean Huijsen.
There could be even more additions if one or all of the trio of Virgil van Dijk, Mohamed Salah and Trent Alexander-Arnold departs. All three players could leave Liverpool for free this summer as their current contract with the club ends in less than three months.
Fans are hoping that all three players, who have proven to still be at their peak, will renew at the club.
But while Richard Hughes is still battling to tie several of the club’s first-team male stars down to new deals, Liverpool Women have announced that defender Jenna Clark has signed a new contract with the club
Liverpool FC Women announced the contract extension in a statement posted on the club’s official website.
“Liverpool FC Women defender Jenna Clark has signed a new contract with the club,” the statement said.
“The 23-year-old Scotland international committed her future to the Reds by putting pen to paper at the AXA Melwood Training Centre on Friday.”
Clark has made 46 appearances for Liverpool in all competitions following her arrival in the summer of 2023.
She has scored on two occasions for the Reds, opening her account with the winning goal against Manchester United towards the end of last season.
“It feels amazing. Obviously, it feels like home here, so I’m delighted,” the defender said after signing a new deal.
“Liverpool to me feels like home, in the club, in the city, and I’ve enjoyed a good year-and-a-half here already. I’m looking forward to the future.”
Clark continued: “For us as a team, we just want to finish this season on a high and as strong as we can. For me, individually, it’s just to carry on and try to help the team as much as I can.”
Liverpool fans will be hoping for the same kind of good news about the future of Alexander-Arnold, Salah, Van Dijk, Ibrahima Konate and Luis Diaz, who all have contract proposals from the club.
