Done and sealed’ – Fabrizio Romano confirms Liverpool and Wolves have agreed transfer

Written by admin

Liverpool have completed the signing of a Wolverhampton Wanderers youngster, according to Fabrizio Romano. The Reds have finalised a deal to acquire the permanent services of Wolves talent Alvin Ayman.

Transfer news specialist Fabrizio Romano reports Liverpool have signed Ayman on a five-year deal, paying a compensation fee of £2 million to Gary O’Neil’s side.

The Premier League’s five-step approval process for youth transfers has already been completed. The 16-year-old only joined Wanderers last August as he departed Bradford City following seven years at the West Yorkshire Club. He now makes yet another move, swapping Molineux for Anfield.

Ayman had been the subject of interest from multiple ‘big six’ Premier League clubs, so it comes as no surprise to see Liverpool finalising their swoop. Manchester United were also keen but the Red Devils’ bitter rivals have been proactive and urgent.

Who is new Liverpool signing Alvin Ayman? The Wolves teenager can play in defensive midfield or centre-back and he’s already received international recognition, having been named a standby for England Under-17s last year

Ayman has played just nine competitive youth matches for Wolves since signing about 11 months ago but two of these have been for the Under-21 side, stepping up way above his age group. Those at Wolves believe he has excellent potential, hence the interest from Liverpool and others.

Gary O’Neil even brought Ayman along for a Premier League matchday a few months ago, inviting the wonderkid to join the senior players for the trip to Manchester City. Although not named in the squad, the experience will have been invaluable.
