Fabrizio Romano: Tottenham Target England’s In-Form Winger

Tottenham Hotspur are among several clubs monitoring Bournemouth star Antoine Semenyo, though no discussions have yet taken place regarding a potential transfer, according to GIVEMESPORT senior football correspondent Fabrizio Romano.
Spurs have undergone significant behind-the-scenes changes in recent weeks that could influence their transfer plans, with chairman Daniel Levy stepping down and Fabio Paratici returning as joint sporting director alongside Johan Lange.
Romano: Tottenham ‘Tracking’ Antoine Semenyo
Despite strengthening their attack with players like Mohammed Kudus, Xavi Simons, Mathys Tel, and Randal Kolo Muani during the summer, Tottenham continue to be linked with additional forward options for 2026.
Among their reported targets is Bournemouth’s Antoine Semenyo, who has been in outstanding form this season. The Ghana international, who signed a new five-year deal with the Cherries in July, has registered six goals and three assists in seven Premier League appearances for the 2025–26 campaign.
Romano revealed that multiple clubs, including Tottenham, are keeping close tabs on the 25-year-old:
> “Many clubs are tracking him, Spurs and not only. But it’s not something being discussed now; it’s too early.”
While Tottenham’s interest is confirmed, discussions are not expected to begin soon, with the January transfer window still over two months away. Bournemouth are also likely to demand a significant fee for their key player, making a summer move more realistic.
TalkSPORT reports that Semenyo has a release clause in his new contract, with Bournemouth valuing him at over £75 million. GIVEMESPORT’s Ben Jacobs adds that both Spurs and Manchester United held talks with Semenyo before he renewed his deal, while Liverpool are also admirers.
Former England international Chris Waddle has described Semenyo as “the best winger in England” at the moment.
