Tottenham Hotspur return to Premier League action this weekend with a home fixture against Aston Villa, though several key players remain sidelined through injury. Manager Thomas Frank continues to navigate a lengthy injury list ahead of Sunday’s clash.

The league resumes following the international break, with Spurs aiming to secure consecutive victories after their 2-1 win over Leeds United, where Mathys Tel and Mohammed Kudus found the net.

In recent days, Frank has been closely monitoring his squad’s international duties, hoping to avoid any fresh setbacks. However, Yves Bissouma suffered an ankle injury while representing Mali and was stretchered off in visible pain. Reports suggest he is expected to be out for around two to three weeks.

Striker Dominic Solanke remains in recovery from an ankle problem, having undergone a minor procedure at the end of September. “It went well,” Frank said. “We’ll know more after the international break.”

Meanwhile, Randal Kolo Muani has returned to training and could be in contention for the weekend, while Kota Takai—back from a plantar fascia issue—has also resumed full training and may feature.

Dejan Kulusevski continues his recovery from a knee injury and is not expected to return soon. Frank described him as “a key, key player” and confirmed that both the player and medical staff are working hard to speed up his return.

Defender Radu Dragusin is showing encouraging progress from his ACL injury. “He’s been on the grass for three weeks and is on track,” Frank said, though it will still be several weeks before he is ready to play.

Long-term absentee James Maddison remains out and is not expected to return until next summer following an ACL rupture suffered during pre-season.
