Andy Robertson was lucky to get away with a bad mistake in the early exchanges of Liverpool’s clash against West Ham United.
In the 6th minute, he gave away possession inside his own half to trigger a 2v2 chance for the hosts.
Fortunately, the West Ham players were unable to convert the chance as Lucas Paqueta struck his effort wide.
But Liverpool fans are fuming with Robertson and believe he’s become the weak link of the backline, as here are some reactions from Twitter (X).
Ian: “Robertson is ruining his legacy at Liverpool. Every game making silly mistakes. He’s lucky that didn’t end in a goal again as usual.”
Ty McEarchen: “Andy Robertson was the best left back in the world for a good few years there but he just can’t be trusted anymore and it makes me so sad.”
LZ: “In addition to being completely washed, Andy Robertson’s style does not suit possession-based systems IMO.”
Falsesixes: “Andrew Robertson I love you as a Scotsman and Liverpool fan but it’s time for a new person in your position.”
Tenacity: “Robertson is the weapon fashioned against Liverpool right now.”
Will: “Robertson is such a clear weak link in this Liverpool team, needs replacing in January or he’ll be their Achilles heel.”
