Chelsea Eyeing Liverpool Duo After Losing Ngumoha
After Liverpool secured the signing of highly-rated academy talent Rio Ngumoha from Chelsea last year, reports now suggest the Blues could be planning a form of transfer revenge.

Chelsea Reportedly Targeting Two Liverpool Players
Although several stars—such as Fernando Torres, Joe Cole, Daniel Sturridge, Bolo Zenden, and Raul Meireles—have played for both clubs, direct transfers between Liverpool and Chelsea have been rare in recent years.
However, fresh speculation suggests Chelsea owner Todd Boehly is preparing a double swoop on the current Premier League leaders.
According to Antena2 [via CaughtOffside], Chelsea are exploring a move for Luis Díaz, looking to take advantage of reported concerns over his wages at Liverpool. The Blues are allegedly ready to make him one of their highest-paid players.
Meanwhile, TBR Football, citing Graeme Bailey, reports that Chelsea are also interested in Caoimhin Kelleher as they look to strengthen their goalkeeping options amid uncertainty over Robert Sánchez.
Could Chelsea Realistically Sign Kelleher and Díaz?
It remains unclear whether Liverpool would entertain negotiations with Chelsea, given the long-standing rivalry between the two clubs. While they may not be direct title contenders this season, past encounters have fueled a tense relationship.
Kelleher appears the more likely departure, as the 26-year-old has impressed in his 16 appearances this season, particularly during Alisson Becker’s injury spell. Despite proving himself in both the Premier League and Champions League, he remains Liverpool’s second-choice goalkeeper, making a summer move possible.
On the other hand, Chelsea’s chances of landing Díaz seem slim. The Colombian has been thriving under Arne Slot, netting 12 goals in 32 matches this season.
With more than two years left on his contract, Liverpool are in a strong position to retain him and could even offer improved terms to prevent a repeat of the contract uncertainties surrounding Mo Salah, Trent Alexander-Arnold, and Virgil van Dijk.
While Chelsea may have a realistic shot at signing Kelleher, prying Díaz away from Anfield appears highly unlikely in the near future.
