Liverpool will be aiming to bounce back this weekend when Tottenham travel to Anfield, but both teams head into the Premier League clash with major injury concerns.

Arne Slot’s side return to league action after a frustrating 1–0 Champions League defeat to Galatasaray earlier this week. The performance drew criticism from former Liverpool players, with John Aldridge describing it as a “horrible watch,” while Jermaine Pennant also questioned Slot’s approach.
Tottenham, meanwhile, also endured a difficult night in Europe, suffering a heavy loss to Atletico Madrid.
According to London World, the pressure is mounting on both clubs ahead of Sunday’s encounter. The report noted that Spurs return to Premier League action after their Champions League defeat to Atletico on Tuesday.
The situation is particularly worrying for Tottenham, who are only one point above the relegation zone under interim manager Igor Tudor.
Liverpool’s week hasn’t been much better either. In addition to their defeat to Galatasaray, the Reds lost their previous Premier League match against Wolves, although they later beat the same side in the FA Cup.
Heading into the Anfield clash, Liverpool are dealing with several injury setbacks. Conor Bradley and Giovanni Leoni have both been ruled out for the rest of the season with serious knee injuries. Japanese midfielder Wataru Endo is also sidelined long-term after undergoing surgery earlier in the campaign.
Striker Alexander Isak remains unavailable as well and is not expected to return until April.
There are also fresh concerns, with Federico Chiesa a doubt after missing the trip to Istanbul due to illness. Goalkeeper Alisson Becker could also miss the match after reportedly feeling discomfort during training earlier this week.
While Liverpool’s injury list is troubling, Tottenham’s situation appears even more severe.
The North London club will be without Wilson Odobert, Lucas Bergvall, Ben Davies, Rodrigo Bentancur, Mohammed Kudus, Dejan Kulusevski, and James Maddison, all of whom are currently ruled out. Defender Destiny Udogie is also considered a doubt for the match.
The growing list of absentees shows just how much disruption both squads are facing ahead of Sunday’s showdown.
Liverpool will be hoping to capitalize on Tottenham’s struggles when they arrive at Anfield. After their disappointing result in Turkey, Slot’s side will be eager to deliver a strong Premier League performance and quickly get back on track
