Man Utd Tipped to Make Mo Salah Offer as Outrageous Liverpool Transfer Touted

Written by Savior Savior

Manchester United have been tipped to make a ‘public’ offer to Liverpool for Mohamed Salah amid his saga with coach Arne Slot.

Salah was removed from selection against Inter Milan following his bombshell interview as Liverpool secured a 1-0 Champions League win without the star player’s services.

After the game, Jamie Carragher issued an apology to Salah on CBS Sports after calling him a ‘disgrace’ on Monday Night Football.

Naturally, Slot was asked about the Egyptian following his side’s hard-fought victory at the San Siro as he was grilled by Clarence Seedorf on Amazon Prime.

It remains to be seen whether Salah will return to the fold when Liverpool resume their Premier League campaign on Saturday against Brighton.

If he doesn’t play against Brighton, then he could have already played his last game for the club, with the 33-year-old set to depart for the Africa Cup of Nations on December 15.

A move away from Liverpool in January has been mooted, with Saudi Arabia touted as a potential destination

But Man United have been tipped to sign Salah in a move that would send shockwaves through the football world.

On Rio Ferdinand Presents, Ste Howson asked Ferdinand whether Man United should sign him.

Ferdinand played down Salah moving to Man United before saying he’d make a public offer.

Howson: “Do United sign him?”

Ferdinand: “No way… Mo Salah don’t go to Man Utd.”

Howson: “Depends how p**sed off he is.”

Ferdinand: “I don’t think he’s got that Wazza (Wayne Rooney) streak… don’t think he’s got that Wazza trait.”

Howson: “But if you’re United, do you poke the bear?”

Ferdinand: “Yeah, I’ll make an offer… public one as well.”

Howson: “I’d do it just for the f**king riot that it’ll cause.”

Ferdinand and Howson’s comments appear to be tongue-in-cheek.

The chances of Salah joining Man United are extremely unlikely given his legendary association with Liverpool.

And his profile doesn’t necessarily fit into Ruben Amorim’s 3-4-3 system.

Salah, meanwhile, has scored an incredible 250 goals in 420 appearances to date.

But he has struggled this campaign, having scored just five goals across all competitions after bagging an impressive 34 goals last season.Featured Image Credit: Getty
