Tweet Details of Salah’s contract demands have emerged. Details of the demands Mohamed Salah is making in his contract negotiations with Liverpool have finally emerged

Liverpool star Salah’s contract with the Merseyside is set to expire at the end of the 2024/25 season, meaning that he is potentially just entering the final months of his time at the club.

The Egyptian winger has been central to Liverpool’s success this season, scoring seven goals and assisting six in his 11 appearances so far.

With that in mind, Liverpool will be eager to secure his future with the club as soon as possible, and now, some of the details of Salah’s contract demands have reportedly been revealed.

According to Football Insider, Salah is demanding a contract which will keep him with the Premier League side until the summer of 2027, when he will be 35 years old.

The news comes after reports from Gabriel Agbonlahor that Salah has already agreed terms with a club in the Saudi Pro League, who have offered him a record-breaking contract.

However, sources revealed that Liverpool are “not worried” about the news and believe that they remain in pole position to secure the signature of their star man.

The Reds still believe that it is Salah’s preference to stay with Liverpool, who he joined in the summer of 2017 from Serie A side Roma. But competition from the Saudi Pro League will be stiff, with Salah seen as a top target since last summer, where Al Ittihad saw a £150million bid rejected by Liverpool.

Saudi Arabian officials see a long-term vision with the Egyptian winger, who is perhaps the most famous Muslim footballer in the world, as the face of a league that includes players like Cristiano Ronaldo, Karim Benzema and Salah’s former teammate Sadio Mane.

However, while Liverpool may be confident that the signs of Salah signing an extension are promising, with both Virgil Van Dijk, and Trent Alexander-Arnold also set to be out of contract in the summer, they will no doubt want to seal the deal as soon as possible.

And with 2024 coming to a close, the Reds have just two months left to convince all three players to commit their futures to the club before they will be allowed to negotiate pre contractual agreements with other clubs in January.
