My decision isn’t about trophies, fame, or fortune—it’s about HIM. I refuse to stay another season because of him.

Liverpool defender Trent Alexander-Arnold has admitted that his strongest bond in the squad is with teammate Mohamed Salah. The duo, who operate together on the right flank, have formed a formidable partnership over the years.

Having played 314 matches together across all competitions, they have combined for 19 goal contributions. In an interview with Stadium Astro (via @DaveOCKOP), the England international expressed his admiration for Salah, saying:

“I’d say Mo, if I’m honest. We’ve known each other and played together for so long that our bond, especially on the pitch, is just natural. We understand each other’s game.”

He further highlighted their mutual respect, adding:

“If you watch closely, you’ll notice that we never moan at each other, even when we could. We just respect each other’s playing style. Sometimes, I’ll make an overlapping run, and he’ll take a shot instead of passing to me. In my head, I might think he should have passed, but I know the next time I have the ball, and I don’t pass to him, he’ll probably feel the same way. That understanding is what makes our right side one of the best.”

However, their partnership may not last much longer, as both players are nearing the end of their Liverpool contracts. Alexander-Arnold has been strongly linked with a move to Real Madrid, while Salah’s future remains uncertain.

Andrew Robertson Addresses Criticism Over Liverpool Performances

Meanwhile, Liverpool left-back Andrew Robertson has faced scrutiny for his performances this season. With his contract running until 2026, there have been speculations about his potential departure.

Despite the rumors, the Scottish defender has reaffirmed his commitment to the club. Speaking to Walk On magazine (via This Is Anfield), Robertson said:

“I’ve been Liverpool’s starting left-back for eight years, and I’m very proud of that. It’s not easy to maintain that position at a club of this size, where they can sign anyone in the world.”

Acknowledging the criticism, he added:

“I want to remain the starting left-back, but I accept that criticism comes with the job. If people want to question my performances, so be it.”

Robertson has made 27 Premier League appearances this season without registering a goal contribution, managing just one assist in the UEFA Champions League.
