Bayer Leverkusen has received a significant offer for Florian Wirtz. Real Madrid is already planning for the next transfer window and has several targets in mind, with Wirtz being one of the most expensive.
Many expect the German forward to leave in the summer, and multiple clubs are interested. Recently, Florentino Pérez was informed about one of the first offers for Wirtz: a bid of €70 million plus a player.
According to Fichajes.net, Bayern Munich is making a strong push to secure Wirtz’s signing in January. Their initial offer stands at €70 million, along with Leroy Sané, who is out of contract next June and could join any club for free.
Bayer Leverkusen is reportedly hesitant to sell Wirtz immediately, but the offer from Bayern, combined with the valuation of Sané (between €50-60 million), would make the deal worth over €100 million. It’s a proposal that is being seriously considered in Germany.
Now, the decision rests with Florentino Pérez. Real Madrid is aware that Wirtz prefers a move to them, possibly even more than Bayern Munich. However, the deal is complex due to the high cost and the need for the coach’s approval.
The arrival of Wirtz seems more difficult under Carlo Ancelotti, as there is no immediate spot for him in the starting lineup. This could change if Xabi Alonso, his current coach at Leverkusen, were to replace Ancelotti at Madrid, which would give Wirtz more opportunities.
Currently, it appears Leverkusen will reject Bayern’s offer and aim to negotiate more thoroughly next summer. This could be positive for Real Madrid, as the more time they have, the higher the chances Wirtz will join them at the Santiago Bernabéu. For now, Madrid will have to wait.
