Liverpool were the dominant side at the start of the Premier League clash with Leeds on New Year’s day but could not find the net early on.
One episode, however, could well lead to the biggest chance for the Reds.

Hugo Ekitike muscled his way to the penalty box but was obstructed by Jaka Bijol who all but brought him down.
Crucially, this was not even given as a foul, despite Bijol not even trying to tackle Ekitike cleanly.
So, Liverpool fans justifiably feel that Leeds got away with a blatant foul on their player in the penalty area.
Viktor Fagerström: “Ekitike penalised for not diving. Well done, PGMOL, you incompetent fools.”
Jacob: “Ekitike not getting a penalty there is the exact reason why footballers dive. If you don’t go down, then 9.9/10 times, the ref won’t give it.”
Samuel: “Hugo Ekitike being fouled and not given anything because he didn’t fall on the ground, sums up the incompetence of these referees.”
Living Liverpool: “How is that not a foul on Ekitike???”
