Manchester United legend turned Premier League pundit Roy Keane has made the bold prediction that Liverpool full-back Trent Alexander-Arnold could score a hat-trick against Nottingham Forest at the weekend.
The Reds’ academy graduate was one of the standout performers for England over the international break, providing an assist for Harry Kane’s opening goal against Finland on Tuesday night.
He played the two games in his more natural right-back position after being used in midfield by former manager Gareth Southgate during the European Championships.
It’s the position new Liverpool boss Arne Slot has also chosen to play him in the opening three Premier League games of the season. Liverpool have a 100 percent win record so far this campaign.They will look to extend that when they take on Nottingham Forest at Anfield on Saturday afternoon.

Keane predicted a 3-1 win for Liverpool with fellow England international Morgan Gibbs-White scoring a consolation for Forest. But he then gave an even bolder prediction.“Trent, Trent. He could get a hat-trick if he’s higher up the pitch,” he said.
Alexander-Arnold has come up against Forest three times in his career, but never found the net against the side. He has been on the winning side twice, and provided an assist in the 3-2 win back in April 2023.
