Liverpool have agreed personal terms in principle with Bradley Barcola, taking a significant step in their pursuit of the Paris Saint-Germain forward.
The 23-year-old France international has emerged as the Reds’ primary attacking target as they reshape their front line following Mohamed Salah’s departure. Sources indicate the proposed contract would run until 2032 and place Barcola among the club’s highest earners.
According to journalist Nicolò Schira, Liverpool are preparing an offer in excess of €100 million. That figure, however, falls short of PSG’s valuation. The French champions are understood to be demanding between €150 million and €170 million (approximately £145 million), using recent record Premier League transfers as a benchmark. No agreement has been reached between the clubs.
Barcola’s profile fits the brief. His explosive pace, direct running and ability to operate on either flank would restore the width and unpredictability lost with Salah, offering Andoni Iraola a ready-made but still ascending option capable of becoming a central figure at Anfield.
Arsenal have also monitored the situation, underlining the competition for the player. Liverpool’s personal-terms agreement is encouraging, suggesting Barcola is open to the move, yet the deal ultimately hinges on whether the Reds can persuade PSG to accept a structured package closer to their valuation or force a more realistic compromise.
A bid north of €100 million with achievable add-ons would represent a strong statement of intent. Anything approaching the full asking price risks overpaying for a player who, for all his talent, has not been an automatic starter in Paris. Disciplined negotiation, not simply matching PSG’s demands, will decide whether this becomes a transformative signing or an expensive pursuit that stalls.
