Liverpool are not prepared to pay Paris Saint-Germain’s reported £145 million asking price for Bradley Barcola this summer, according to James Pearce of The Athletic.
That valuation is unlikely to kill the club’s interest, however. The Reds are understood to be targeting a deal nearer the £100 million mark.
Barcola and his representatives remain open to a move to Anfield. Lewis Steele of the Daily Mail has also reported the player’s willingness to join Liverpool.
The 23-year-old’s situation at PSG has changed since the arrival of Khvicha Kvaratskhelia in January 2025. While Barcola still logged a substantial number of minutes last season (nearly 3,000 across competitions after almost 4,000 the previous year), he is no longer viewed as the clear first-choice wide forward at the French champions.
If a transfer materialises, Liverpool would expect Barcola to arrive as a primary option rather than a squad player. With Mohamed Salah having left early and other attacking options still developing or secondary, the club sees the France international as a high-upside addition capable of operating on either flank.
Other names further down Liverpool’s shortlist, including Bournemouth’s Rayan and Brighton’s Yankuba Minteh, are currently regarded as less attractive alternatives.
