Stefan Bajcetic hands Liverpool major January transfer dilemma

Written by admin

Liverpool face a tough decision about Stefan Bajcetic’s future in January as his loan at Red Bull Salzburg hasn’t gone as planned.

With former Reds assistant Pep Lijnders — who played a key role in bringing Bajcetic to Salzburg — recently sacked, the midfielder’s position at the Austrian club is uncertain.

Bajcetic has only started eight of his 18 appearances, and Salzburg’s struggles under Lijnders, including poor league form and Champions League disappointment, have compounded the situation.

Initially sent out on loan to regain form after a long injury spell, the 20-year-old hasn’t met expectations, raising questions about whether Liverpool should recall him in January.

With his development stalling, the Reds must weigh the benefits of giving him more time at Salzburg or finding a better environment to ensure his growth.
