Van Dijk – 8, Gakpo – 10: Rating Liverpool players in HUGE Ipswich win

Written by admin

Liverpool beat Ipswich Town 4-1 at Anfield in yet another dominating performance under Arne Slot.

Here are how the players fared in the victory.

Andy Robertson – 7/10

Came into the starting XI in Kostas Tsimikas’ place and did a good job. Worked well defensively and kept things simple while going forward. Liverpool didn’t need much help scoring anyway.

Virgil van Dijk – 8/10

Marked his 300th appearance with a huge win. Kept Liam Delap quiet throughout the game, as Ipswich were shut out from getting near scoring – barring the late goal, of course.

Alexis Mac Allister – 8/10

Kept things ticking in midfield, executing perfect passes to connect with the attack. Was involved in the build-up to at least a couple of their goals.

Dominik Szoboszlai – 9/10

Yet another strong performance to his string of good runs, scoring the opener and putting up a commanding shift. Solid finish for the goal as well.

Cody Gakpo – 10/10

The game was already in Liverpool’s control but Gakpo sealed the win with his well-taken brace. Deserved credit for a spirited performance on the left.

The rest: Alisson – 7, Trent – 7, Konate – 7, Gravenberch – 7, Salah – 9, Diaz – 8.

Subs: Nunez – 6, Elliott – 5, Endo – 5, Danns – 5.
