Liverpool cruised into the Carabao Cup final with a thumping 4-0 win over Tottenham at Anfield.

The Reds needed a big performance in-front of their home fans after the losing the first-leg in North London.

Things started slightly slowly at Anfield, but Liverpool soon grabbed control of the tie.

Cody Gakpo’s equaliser was well-timed 10 minutes before half-time, and from that point on, the result never really felt in doubt.

It was a supreme display from Liverpool, who were on it to a man during the second-half.

Poastecoglou has become something of a pantomime villain at times for Liverpool fans since his appointment in 2023.
The man on the other end of the infamous Luis Diaz VAR debacle last season, the Spurs boss had little sympathy for the Reds at the time.
And although Postecoglou is a boyhood Liverpool fan, he has rarely seemed to speak well of them since his time at Tottenham.
That changed on Thursday, when the Australian told ITV that Liverpool deserved credit for dismantling Spurs in the manner they did.
“Credit to Liverpool, they were way too good for us,” said Postecoglou. “We never really got to grips with the game, both with and without the ball. We allowed them to get control pretty early and they made it difficult for us to get back into the game.
“When they get into a rhythm especially here at home they’re hard to stop.”

The Reds currently have only one injury to worry about, with Trent Alexander-Arnold the only player missing right now.
