Fabrizio Romano exclusive: Yankuba Minteh agrees to seal dream LFC transfer on five-year deal

Written by admin

Liverpool are actively working on deals for two wingers this window. Bradley Barcola remains the clear priority target, but the club also wants to strengthen the squad with a second wide option.

Yankuba Minteh of Brighton is a concrete candidate on that shortlist. Liverpool have already had two bids rejected — first for £50m, then £60m — yet they remain in talks with the player’s camp and are expected to return with an improved offer.

Minteh is not the only name under consideration; several other wingers feature on the directors’ shortlist. Importantly, the 20-year-old has already agreed personal terms with Liverpool. He is keen on the move and has spoken of his desire to follow in the footsteps of African stars such as Mohamed Salah and his idol Sadio Mané at Anfield.

A club-to-club agreement with Brighton has still not been reached, so negotiations continue.
