Bradley Barcola has agreed personal terms on a five-year contract with Liverpool.
According to Sacha Tavolieri (relayed by @InstantFoot), the France international is ready to join the Reds. The hold-up is at PSG’s end: the Parisians are deliberately slowing the deal while they push through the signing of Ajax’s Mika Godts. Once that piece falls into place, Barcola’s exit is expected to accelerate.
PSG have already added Maghnes Akliouche and are closing in on Ferran Torres. With those reinforcements arriving and Ronald Araujo now through the door at Anfield on loan, Liverpool’s focus has shifted firmly toward the forward line. Barcola is the clear priority, and there is growing belief that a move for his PSG teammate Ibrahim Mbaye could follow if the right structure is found.
The fee remains the outstanding issue. There is still a valuation gap with PSG, but the direction of travel is clear: Luis Enrique’s side are set to reshape their attacking options and will look to move surplus players. Barcola sits near the top of that list.
Liverpool cannot afford to treat this as a standalone pursuit. The squad is still thin and the window is closing. Araujo was a useful step, yet further reinforcements are needed without emptying the budget. If an agreement on Barcola can be struck at a price the club is comfortable with, there should still be room for targeted additions in the £35–40m range — players such as Djed Spence or Jean-Philippe Mateta remain realistic options according to recent reporting.
The priority is clear: convert the personal agreement with Barcola into a completed transfer, keep pressure on related deals, and use any remaining flexibility to strengthen depth before the deadline.
