Liverpool were booed at Anfield in their last outing, and it now seems FSG may finally be realising the magnitude of the problems surrounding Arne Slot’s side.

Valued at around £75m, Gordon is attracting attention from Arsenal too, but the winger is reportedly keen on a move to Anfield above all other destinations. Having supported Liverpool growing up, a return to Merseyside is said to appeal greatly to him.
If Liverpool were able to complete the signing, they may not only land an upgrade on Gakpo, but potentially their best left winger since Sadio Mane.
Since arriving at Newcastle from Everton in 2023, Gordon has developed into one of the Premier League’s most dangerous attacking players. Across 46 appearances this season, the 25-year-old has scored 17 goals and continues to show signs of reaching another level.
His explosive pace, direct style, and ability to terrorise defenders have drawn comparisons with Mane during his peak Liverpool years under Jurgen Klopp.
While Mohamed Salah often dominated the headlines, Mane’s relentless energy and devastating runs from the left made him one of Liverpool’s most feared weapons.
Gordon possesses similar qualities — speed, aggression, movement, and versatility in attack. Following Newcastle’s win over Chelsea earlier this year, content creator Pete Davey even described Gordon’s display as “one of the best striker performances” seen from a Newcastle player in a long time.
With Bayern Munich reportedly interested in Luis Diaz, speculation is growing over whether Liverpool see Gordon as a long-term replacement for the Colombian.
As FSG prepare for what could be a defining summer, uncertainty still surrounds Slot’s future. But if the Dutchman remains in charge, having a player of Gordon’s quality competing alongside Cody Gakpo and rising talent Rio Ngumoha on the left flank could transform Liverpool’s attack once again.
