Thomas Frank appeared at Tottenham Hotspur’s 2025 Fan Forum on Thursday evening, joined by Cristian Romero, Ben Davies, Vinai Venkatesham, and Johan Lange. During the event, the Spurs boss was asked about the possibility of signing England duo Harry Kane and Ivan Toney.

Kane’s future has been widely discussed in recent weeks after Frank previously hinted that the door remains open for the Bayern Munich striker should he ever wish to return to north London.
Pressed further on the subject, Frank reiterated his stance, making it clear that Kane would always be welcomed back under his management.
“Let’s put it this way,” Frank said. “They’re both very, very good players. Harry Kane is a legend. Like I said the other day, if he wants to come back, he’s more than welcome.”
The Dane was also asked about his former Brentford forward, Ivan Toney, who now plays for Al-Ahli in Saudi Arabia. Spurs have recently been linked with a move for the 29-year-old, and Frank didn’t rule out a reunion. “Of course, Ivan Toney I coached for a few years — top player, top guy, very good striker — so let’s see what happens in the future,” he said.
Tottenham are not currently pursuing a new striker, but that could change next summer when loanee Randal Kolo Muani returns to Paris Saint-Germain. Richarlison, meanwhile, will be entering the final year of his contract and remains focused on cementing his spot as Brazil’s leading striker for the World Cup.
As for Kane, the England captain has dismissed talk of a Spurs return for now, despite a £56.7 million release clause becoming active next summer.
Speaking to The Daily Mail earlier this week, Kane said he is fully focused on his time in Germany following a superb start to the season with Bayern.
“I’m not sure (if I’ll go back). I’m very happy here in Munich — it’s not something I’m thinking about,” he said. “It’ll always be ‘we’ with Spurs because I spent my whole life there. I’m a fan and will always keep an eye on them. They’ll always be a part of my life, for sure.
“It was great to see them win a trophy this year — it meant a lot to everyone, the fans, the club, the players. Hopefully, they can build on that and win more.”
