Yan Diomande is reportedly discussing a new contract with RB Leipzig as they’re set to offer him a huge pay rise to stay at least one more season.

The 19-year-old is really making waves this term, attracting interest from the likes of Liverpool and Paris Saint-Germain, according to Fabrizio Romano.
Still, speaking in his latest YouTube video, Romano explained that Leipzig are ready to offer Diomande a new deal that would see him extend his stay and which would also include a release clause.
See below for details as Romano provides this update, while Florian Plettenberg has recently stated that Diomande’s current asking price is around €100m…
What next for Yan Diomande?
Diomande faces an important summer as he’ll no doubt be tempted to jump at the chance to join a big club like Liverpool.
The Reds need a long-term replacement for departing club legend Mohamed Salah, so this could be a signing that suits everyone.
At the same time, however, Diomande needs to be careful not to rush into a big move too soon, and it could be that staying at Leipzig for a bit longer would be the best thing for his development.
Leipzig have often sold their star players for big money, so one imagines Diomande won’t be there for the long term, but one more season could be better for him to gain a bit more experience before the challenge of replacing someone like Salah at Liverpool.

It would be exciting to see Diomande in the Premier League at some point, but if Liverpool don’t get him this summer then it will surely only become a more competitive race for his signature in future.
