Liverpool are reportedly optimistic about reaching an agreement with teenage winger Rio Ngumoha over a new contract, despite growing interest from Bayern Munich and other European clubs.

The Reds are keen to secure the long-term future of one of their most exciting young prospects as negotiations over an improved deal continue.

According to reports from Football Insider, former scout Bryan King believes Liverpool will successfully conclude discussions with the youngster in the coming weeks.

Liverpool Keen to Tie Down Rising Star

Ngumoha has enjoyed a rapid rise since joining Liverpool from Chelsea in 2024. The young winger has continued to attract attention with his pace, technical ability and confidence when taking on defenders.

His recent performances, including encouraging displays against Brentford and Villarreal, have further strengthened his reputation as a player with significant potential.

The teenager can operate on either wing, giving Liverpool valuable attacking versatility as the club plans for the future.

With his current contract reportedly running until 2028, Liverpool are keen to agree fresh terms to protect their investment and ensure the youngster remains part of their long-term plans.

Bayern Munich Interest Could Complicate Negotiations

Liverpool’s confidence comes despite reported interest from Bayern Munich, who are believed to be monitoring the winger’s development.

Competition for places at Anfield could also influence Ngumoha’s decision. With several established forwards already in the squad, the youngster will want to see a clear pathway towards regular first-team football.

However, Liverpool’s willingness to give him opportunities at senior level could strengthen their position in negotiations.

Ngumoha has also indicated that his agent is handling discussions and that talks are progressing well, offering encouragement to supporters hoping to see him commit his future to the club.

Liverpool Hope to Reach Agreement Soon

Securing a new contract for Ngumoha would represent an important step in Liverpool’s efforts to retain their most promising young talents.

The club will be determined to prevent European rivals from tempting the winger away from Anfield before he reaches his full potential.

Although an agreement has not yet been confirmed, Liverpool’s reported optimism suggests they believe a positive outcome is possible in the coming weeks.

For now, Ngumoha remains focused on his football, while Liverpool work towards securing a deal that could keep one of their brightest young prospects at Anfield for years to come.

Liverpool fans will be hoping the club can complete the agreement soon and ensure Bayern Munich’s reported interest does not derail negotiations.
