Liverpool may have secured a 6-3 Champions League victory over LASK, but the late defensive collapse has sparked a massive debate among supporters — and Virgil van Dijk is right at the centre of it! 😬
😱 The Reds were cruising at 4-0 after Ronald Araujo and Jeremy Jacquet impressed at centre-back. But everything changed when Andoni Iraola introduced Van Dijk and Joe Gomez in the 62nd minute.
Within minutes, Liverpool conceded three goals, turning what looked like a comfortable victory into a nervy finish! 🤯
Some supporters have blamed Van Dijk, with a section calling for the Liverpool captain to be dropped. Others, however, have fiercely defended him, arguing that the goals were not solely his fault and that changing both centre-backs disrupted the team’s defensive organisation.
👀 One thing is clear: Liverpool’s defensive problems have sparked another huge debate among the fans.
Is Van Dijk really holding Liverpool back, or are supporters unfairly blaming their captain for a collective defensive collapse?
👇 LIVERPOOL FANS, WHAT’S YOUR VERDICT? SHOULD VAN DIJK BE DROPPED OR DOES HE DESERVE MORE RESPECT? 🔴🔥
